How The Box Buddy Works

Step 1 

Set the Box Buddy up against the stud where you want to position your box.   The box cutout of the Box Buddy will place the bottom of the box exactly 12" high.

Step 1 

Place your electrical box in the box cutout of the Box Buddy.  Bring the edge of the box out flush with the Box Buddy.  The Box Buddy is exactly 1/2" thick so your boxes will always be perfectly flush with your sheetrock. 

Step 3

Using the Box Buddy to position both the height and the inset of the box, nail the box into place.  The box will not move when you are nailing when using your thumb to hold the box against the stud and the Box Buddy.

Step 4

Place a second box on the opposite side of the stud (if desired).  The top of the Box Buddy is exactly 1 1/2" wide, allowing for a perfect fit between the two boxes.  The Box Buddy insures that both boxes will be at the exact same height.

Step 5 

Finished!  Perfectly placed electrical boxes every time!
